Help needed: Sametime 8 server installer says server.id has a password

I'm doing a fresh new install of a Sametime 8 server environment on top of a new Domino 8 install. Server is installed as standard, out of the box settings, no server.id password is set. Start Domino 8 server, and it runs fine. However, the Sametime 8 installer swears the server.id has a password on it:

The install detected that the Domino server ID is password protected. This password is required to complete the Sametime server configuration. Enter the password, and choose Next to validate the password.

I've gone into the ID Properties to double check, no password is defined. Has anyone run into this before? Haven't had an issue with Sametime 7.5.1.

UPDATE: Thanks to Chris Gambrell for the tip on the STSkipDominoPasswordCheck=true environment variable which did the trick.

Lotus Sametime 8 stability fixes released for pre-install on Lotus Domino

IBM has just released stability fixes for Lotus Sametime 8 server (certified to run on top of Lotus Domino 7.0.3 or 8.x) that need to be installed on your Lotus Domino server before installing Sametime 8:

B2B Magazine: IBM promove evento Lotusphere

Foi noticiado na B2B Magazine online a notícia de que a IBM estará promovendo em maio eventos da Lotusphere (Comes To You?) aqui no Brasil:

É a segunda edição do Lotusphere no País, que acontece no dia 9 de maio, no Hotel Renaissance, em São Paulo. Entre os assuntos que serão debatidos durante o fórum, destacam-se Web 2.0, o futuro da computação social e da colaboração unificada para as empresas, SOA (Arquitetura Orientada a Serviços) e novas tecnologias, como serviços Web, aperfeiçoamentos de programação e de blogs.

De acordo com a notícia, as inscrições gratuitas começarão agora em abril e o primeiro evento agendado será em no Hotel Renaissance em São Paulo no dia 9 de maio.  Edições extras em Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Joinville, Porto Alegre, Recife e Rio de Janeiro serão anunciadas.

A edicao de dezembro de 2006 da Info Exame que ja' esta' nas bancas contem uma otima reportagem sobre o IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5. Peca apenas em alguns pontos:

1. Suporte a dispositivos moveis: Como pronto fraco em sua avaliacao, a reportagem diz que "falta um cliente para dispositivos moveis". Entretanto, o IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5 Mobile lancado no dia 30 de outubro de 2006 fornece suporte para os seguintes dispositivos moveis:
   
   • RIM BlackBerry. Devices include BlackBerry 8700 and BlackBerry 7100.
   • Nokia Enterprise Eseries. Devices include Nokia E60/E61/E62/E70.
   • Windows Mobile V5. Includes all devices that run on this platform, such as Sprint / HTC 6700, HP iPAQ hx2790, Dell Axiom x51v, and Motorola Q (Smartphone) among others.
   • Windows Mobile 2003 SE. Includes all devices that run on this platform, such as HP iPaq H6315 and Dell Axiom X30 among others.
   
   Vale a pena ressaltar que a instalacao e' extremamente simples: basta voce apontar o browser do seu dispositivo movel para a URL do seu servidor (ex: http://sametime.minhaempresa.com.br/mobile) que ele detecta e instala automaticamente o Sametime Mobile para sua plataforma.
   
2. Suporte a Linux: A reportagem nao menciona o fato da plataforma IBM Lotus Sametime ser multi-plataforma e suportar o Linux tanto no cliente, enquanto suporte para um servidor IBM Lotus Sametime rodando em Linux foi anunciado para a primeira metade de 2007.
   
3. Suporte a VoIP: A reportagem nao deixa claro o suporte a chamadas de voz via VoIP entre usuarios do cliente Lotus Sametime 7.5, que utiliza o codec iSAC da Global IP Sound, a mesma fornecedora do codec licenciado pelo Skype.

No geral, uma excelente reportagem que da' as seguintes notas ao IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5

Integrating Audio Conferencing and Lotus Webconferencing in Lotus Sametime 7.5

I've been currently working on a demo of Lotus Sametime 7.5 for a customer in Brazil that wants to use a web-conferencing solution that will have an audio bridge for audio conferencing solutions. The customer is a Microsoft Exchange shop who has outsourced their Exchange administration to IBM Global Services (where I currently work). They have offices in a couple of South American countries as well as the United States, Canada, and Europe. Aside from Lotus Sametime, they are also evaluating Macromedia Breeze and WebEx, and they have the following requirement: audio integration with an Audio Conferencing service where they will be able to dial-into using local toll-free numbers.

I know that Premiere Global Services offers this type of solution for Lotus Sametime 6.5.1 customers in the United States and Canada. However, this is not available for Sametime 7.5 and/or customers outside North America.

Does anyone know of any available solution out there?
